According to the Laws and Rules of the Fourth Degree, §21(b), dues are “levied from the first of January for the calendar year.” Members who are in arrears are contacted by a member of the Retention Committee to determine the reasons for the delinquency and offer assistance. Hardship waivers are available. In addition, in order to remain active in the Assembly, a member must also be current on dues to their third degree Knights of Columbus Council.
Members who remain in arrears may be suspended. Suspended members may restore their membership at any time, but lose any time accumulated toward Honorary Life membership. In addition, while suspended, past members lose the benefits of the Chalice Club.
